“Therefore, confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another so that you maybe healed. The effective prayer of a righteous man can accomplish much.” James 5:6

Why We Pray
Prayer is the essential communion between a child of God and his or her heavenly Father.
We pray, not only as individuals, but as part of a community of faith. We must pray for one another. Our relationships with one another affect our prayer relationship with our Father.
As we pray, we submit ourselves to God’s will. We only receive that which is requested in keeping with our Father’s perfect will.
We can pray to God our Father because we have a great high priest in heaven, Jesus Christ, who makes our relationship possible through salvation—the salvation we find in Him alone.
