Why do we hope in God?
We source our truth from God’s Word - the Bible. Inside it, we find the promise of great hope, a Saviour - Jesus Christ. The Bible is the cosmic story of God’s grace cutting through the darkness of this fallen world to lavish love upon us. It unpacks the narratives of creation, humanity’s fall, and redemption bought for us through the life, death, resurrection, and ascension of Jesus Christ. The gift of salvation through Jesus is the great hope of the gospel.
On our own we are hopeless, captives to our fallen nature. Christ died as our substitute, in our place, for our sins. His death satisfied God’s holy requirement for justice. In doing so, Jesus put on full display the depth of His love and the extent of His grace for us. It is only through the name of Jesus that we are made clean before God. This is the heart of all sound doctrine: Christ’s sacrifice on the cross for our behalf, and the unmatched joy we have as sinners saved by grace in declaring the glory of God through our lives. We seek for everything in our beliefs, our church, and our lives to be sourced in the gospel.
For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.Ephesians 2:8-10

God's Hope Is Real
A theme we see over and over in the Bible is God meeting real people in their real lives with real love that produces real hope. He does the same thing today.
Beliefs
These basic doctrines represent what we believe to be core elements of biblical teaching.
Doctrine of Scripture
We believe the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments as verbally inspired of God and inerrant in the original writings, and that they are of supreme and final authority.
Doctrine of God
We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons; Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, three in one, co-equal, which is the Trinity.
Doctrine of Jesus Christ
We believe that Jesus Christ was begotten of God, conceived of the Holy Spirit, and born of the Virgin Mary.
Doctrine of the Holy Spirit
We believe in the Holy Spirit, one of the three persons of the Trinity, who convicts the world of sin, is the life of every believer, and empowers the preaching and teaching of the gospel.
Doctrine of Humanity
We believe that man was created in the image of God, that he sinned, and thereby incurred not only physical death, but spiritual death, which is separation from God, and that all human beings are born with a sinful nature and are sinners in thought, word, and deed.
Doctrine of Salvation
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures as a representative and substitutionary sacrifice and that all who believe in him are justified on the ground of his shed blood.
Doctrine of Resurrection
We believe in the resurrection of the crucified body of our Lord, his ascension into heaven and His present life there as High Priest and Advocate for all believers.
Doctrine of Hope
We believe in that “blessed hope,” the personal, premillennial, and imminent return of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Doctrine of Faith
We believe that all who receive by faith the Lord Jesus Christ are born again of the Holy Spirit, and thereby they become children of God, and heirs of eternal life. This is a relationship in which they are eternally secure.
Doctrine of Eternity
We believe in the everlasting bodily and conscious resurrection of mankind, the just and unjust to heaven or hell respectively.
Doctrine of Sin
We believe in the existence of a personal devil, who is working in the world to destroy the souls of men and that he and all his angels and all who do not receive Christ as their Savior will eternally perish in the lake of fire.
Doctrine of the Church
We believe in the Church, the Body of Christ, whose mission it is to preach the gospel to all the world with its endeavors being supported by the gifts and offerings of His people.
Doctrine of Baptism & Communion
We believe that the ordinances of the Church, given by our Lord, are Baptism (by immersion following conversion) and the Lord’s Table (communion).
