Sarah Wahl

Administrative Assistant

Sarah came on staff in September of 2021 after previously working in various Sales and Customer Service roles. She is grateful for the opportunity to work alongside Pastor Brett and the rest of The Chapel team to further Christ’s kingdom. When she’s not working she is with family, pampering her chocolate lab, Soni, or trying new cuisines with her husband, Drew.

Deacons & Deaconesses

We have a dedicated group of Deacons and volunteers who are available and responsible to offer care to all who attend The Chapel in Green. Learn more about our team in the 'Meet Our Deacons' tab above!

Prayer

At The Chapel, we believe in the power of prayer and want to intercede for anyone here with a request that we can take to the Lord. When you submit a prayer request you can be sure that there will be a specific group of people who have committed to pray along with any possible follow-up with you from our Deacons.

Visitation

We know going into the hospital for any stay can be nerve-wracking, whether that be for yourself or for a loved one. If you or a loved one is planning a stay in the hospital, let us know so that we can send a Deacon out to provide a hospital visitation if you would so desire. You can expect a Deacon to stop by (with your approval) and spend 5-10 minutes to see how you are doing, share from God’s Word, and pray with you.

Funerals

For any family who has experienced the death of a family member, we want to be there for you as a church. While there is always the option to have a ceremony at any local funeral home, if you are a member or attendee of The Chapel in Green, we want to make use of our facilities to accommodate any funeral request you may have.

Biblical Coaching

We want to provide encouragement and guidance to anyone or any couple that is facing a challenge they need help navigating. We have a group of trained and mature Christians that will meet with you and help you focus on what steps you can take to move forward while encouraging you with wisdom and guidance from the Bible. This doesn’t replace counseling but is a stepping stone towards counseling if one needs it. We can also help you connect with local counselors in the area based on the needs you have.

GriefShare

It may be hard for you to feel optimistic about the future right now. If you’ve lost a spouse, child, family member, or friend, you’ve probably found there are not many people who understand the deep hurt you feel. This can be a confusing time when you feel isolated and have many questions about things you’ve never faced before.

GriefShare groups meet weekly to help you face these challenges and move toward rebuilding your life.

Widowed Women Connect

If you’ve lost your husband, you may feel you’ve also lost your social network. It may seem difficult to make new friends and feel connected. Learning to live alone also has its challenges.

Widowed Women Connect meets on the 3rd Thursday of each month to help you make new friends and attend social activities you may be reluctant to attend on your own. Each gathering will consist of some social time and will wrap up with a 30-minute presentation on topics of interest to women living alone. We welcome you to join other women that can relate to you for a time of fellowship, laughter, and fun!

At The Chapel in Green, we have 60 Deacons and Deaconess who are primarily responsible for caring for the people in our church. The Deacons perform many duties from visiting people in the hospitals and hospice, praying with people, helping organize and administer communion, and providing a presence on Sunday to care and encourage others. All the Deacons have been nominated and screened to ensure they meet the Biblical qualifications as outlined in 1 Timothy 3. As you get to know them, you will see they have such a heart for Jesus and for others. We are blessed to have them here.
