Classes this term are:
'Comparing Roman Catholic and Evangelical Protestant Theologies’
Teacher: Mike Castelli
This course is designed to compare and contrast the basic teachings of Roman Catholicism and Evangelical Protestantism in key doctrinal areas that are foundational to faith in Jesus Christ. The subjects will include source of authority for the church, salvation, eternal state, and the understanding of the Eucharist/Communion meal instituted by Jesus. With a working knowledge of each approach and basis for faith, the goal is to deepen your faith in God and prepare you to give an answer for the reason for the hope that is in you. And this, with gentleness and respect (1 Peter 3:15). Open to men and women at all Chapel campuses.
'The Last Days: Understanding End Times Prophecy for Beginners'
Teacher: Deering Dyer
‘Let's Learn: Next Level Bible Study - Part 1’
Teacher: Brenda Mitchell
Whether you've always loved learning or are feeling a bit rust, 'Let's Learn' will take you to the next level in studying the Bible for yourself. We’ll simplify some of the basics that you might learn if you went to Bible college, all geared for adults who want to become better thinkers. In class, we’ll move quickly through six different subjects. You’ll develop your reading skills, consider the Bible as literature, learn to spot bad logic, master some theological vocabulary, practice doing word studies, and listen to parts of the Bible told as engaging stories. Open to men and women at all Chapel campuses.
