Living the Gospel at Home

Jesus says that our love will be what identifies us as His disciples (John 13:35). As passionately as we seek to be ambassadors of God’s love and redemption across the globe, our desire is to be just as passionate about love and redemption in our own city.

We seek to share the love of Jesus with our neighbors by meeting them where they are at. Sometimes this means meeting basic needs like food donations to nearby schools or English classes (ESL) for immigrants and refugees. Other times it means identifying ways to enrich our neighbors' lives such as tutoring programs or community dinners. And other times still it means opening our facilities to promote connection, play, and community through sports and activities. The common heartbeat through it all is love - for the glory of God.

Director of Local Outreach

“Outreach gives us an experience with God’s purpose. And that purpose is spreading the Good News of Christ in word and deed to impact people in our community, country and the world. Outreach combines spiritual impact with social responsibility.”

Community Partners

Briarwood Estates
Briarwood Estates is an apartment complex near The Chapel in Green. We partner with our Briarwood neighbors through women’s bible studies, gardening, bicycle repairs, sports, mid-week summer meals, boy’s and girl’s youth groups and more while building relationships centered on the hope we have in Christ.

Green Good Neighbors and Lake Township FISH
Green Good Neighbors and Lake Township FISH work through volunteers to show Christ’s love by serving those within their communities.  We participate with both Green Good Neighbors and Lake Township FISH through food drives and food donations.

The Pregnancy and Parenting Center / Eva Women's Clinic
The Pregnancy and Parenting Center and Eva Women’s Clinic work together to provide free and confidential medical care and educational information to those facing an unplanned pregnancy in Stark and Summit counties. In addition, they are a source to help with newborn and early child physical needs. We help to support these physical needs through our annual Giving Tree.

RAHAB
RAHAB, Reaching Above Hopelessness and Brokenness, Inc., began addressing human trafficking before human trafficking became a recognized term. We partner with Rahab through donations to provide for ministry needs. Essential items will be accepted at 4350 Portage St NW in North Canton 44720 on Mondays 10am-6pm.

Refuge of Hope
Refuge of Hope is a faith-based ministry located in downtown Canton, Ohio. The organization serves hot meals to the hungry and provides emergency shelter for men, women, and children. We participate in their meal ministry.

We meet on the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month from 9:30–11:30 AM in Room 123, to create quilts for Angel Tree, Veterans, Hospice in Green, kindergarten students at inner city schools and more.
