Local Outreach

The Chapel in Green is connected with several areas of ministry outside the church walls. Every week we continue to build relationships with people at Briarwood Estates, just two miles down the road. It is an apartment complex occupied by mostly single moms and their children. Volunteers from The Chapel share in their struggles, but also bring inspiration through Bible studies, gardening, bicycle repairs, sports, hot meals, hugs and smiles.

Other community involvement includes Refuge of Hope, a men’s shelter in downtown Canton, where we participate in their meal ministry; True North, which ministers to incarcerated youth; and Pregnancy Choices, in Canton and Massillon, which pours into lives of men and women with unplanned pregnancies.

Other special outreach projects held at the church include the Easter Basket Outreach, a reception after the Green High School Baccalaureate, the annual church picnic and the Backpack and School Supplies Outreach.
